National Conference 2026
Department of Applied Sciences & Humanities, IPEC Ghaziabad
New Trends in Technologically Important Materials for Space and Defence Applications (NTTIMSDA2026)
A Way Forward for Viksit Bharat
17 & 18 December 2026 | Completely On-SiteHome » National Conference
About the Conference
Advanced materials have become the cornerstone of modern space and defence technologies, influencing performance, reliability, survivability and sustainability of military systems. From lightweight armour and stealth coatings to hypersonic materials, high-temperature composites, energetic materials, nanomaterials, quantum materials and smart sensing technologies, breakthroughs in materials science are transforming defence capabilities worldwide.
India's vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat, together with Make in India, iDEX (Innovations for Defence Excellence) and the growing emphasis on indigenous defence manufacturing, has accelerated research and innovation in space and defence materials. ISRO, DRDO, BARC, defence PSUs, academia and private industry are investing heavily in advanced materials research.
This conference provides a multidisciplinary platform for research scholars, scientists, engineers, academicians, defence and space professionals, policymakers and industry leaders to exchange knowledge, discuss emerging technologies, foster collaborations and identify future research directions.
Target Audience
Scientists from DRDO/ISRO laboratories • Space and defence industries • Faculty members and research scholars • Materials engineers • Manufacturing industries • Startups/MSMEs • Policymakers
